Dr. Kyung-shick Choi, Faculty Coordinator of the Criminal Justice Cybercrime Investigation & Cybersecurity (CIC) Programs, continued his visit through Colombia by attending the Cybercriminology and Information Security Seminar at Universidad Antonio Narino in Villavicencio. Dr. Choi was a guest speaker at the seminar and presented his findings regarding the illegal operation of Bitcoin on the Darknet, particularly as it relates to gambling, drugs, and ransomware. Says Dr. Choi, "the university administrators and faculty provided their warm welcome and kind hospitality. It was a great opportunity to learn about the city of Villavicencio in Colombia and its significance of cultural heritage as well.”
